Kevin Brown lives with his wife, Georgina, in North Texas. They married in 1995 and immediately began a blended family. Georgina brought two boys from her previous marriage, and Kevin had two sons and a daughter from his first marriage. Then a few years after marrying, God gave them Maddie. Together, they have six kids and three grandsons!
Kevin has spent most of his adult life in the technology industry, working in telecommunications initially and then with internet technologies as they blossomed from the late 90s through today. He is well-traveled on the speaker circuit speaking at company functions, business events, churches, and for youth groups and men’s events. He has written two books for business readers, most recently in 2004 with Cisco Press. Since then, he has founded a software company and began working on inspirational musings and writings, of which the first was The Greater Truth.
"'The Greater Truth' is an ongoing initiative to help people understand that God never intended our lives to be this complicated. Difficult sometimes, yes. But, we need to uncomplicate things. That’s what I want to get across to people with this initiative and future projects that Georgina and I are working on. And, I want people to understand that the words they speak about themselves have far more power than we realize . . . so we should think better thoughts about ourselves."
Simplification is a central theme in virtually every project Kevin undertakes. Whether the discussion is regarding solving a life problem, or emerging technology, his goal is always to reduce a challenge down to its simplest form and work from there.
“We tend to over-complicate everything from technology, to how our kids are doing making friends, to how to say ‘I am sorry’ to a spouse. “Often, the easiest – and most effective solution – is very simple. However, we don’t see that single tree because of the forest we have planted. I know this is not news, I know we all know this – yet we do it anyway.”
Kevin has now written five encouraging, inspiring, and revelatory books regarding love, transformations, unforeseen journeys, truth, and experience.
Oh, he is also a cancer survivor...
and a ridiculous San Antonio Spurs fan!
